The Experience
The Aokigahara Jukai Forest was born from the Great Jogan Eruption of Mt. Fuji in 864 AD. Walking here is like reading the "story of the earth" directly from the volcanic ground.
The environment is harsh: lava rock holds little water, and soil is scarce. To survive, the trees have developed unique ways of stretching their roots across the stone and sharing limited resources. It is a slow, persistent, and ongoing process.
Our tour focuses on these remarkable survival strategies. We will also visit Ryugu Cave, a natural lava tube that reveals the raw power of the volcanic forces that shaped this land. Join me to witness how this forest continues to change, one day at a time.

Pricing: The base rate is for one group of up to 4 people. For groups of 5 or more, an additional 3,000 JPY will be charged per person.
Private Experience: This is a private tour. We can adjust the route and pace for your group, from children to seniors.
Meeting Point: Saiko Wild Bird Park (Parking Lot) or your hotel lobby in the Saiko area.
Walking Conditions: We will walk on uneven lava trails for about 60 minutes.
Important Booking Information
Footwear: Sturdy walking shoes or sneakers are required.
Clothing: The forest is around 1,000m high and stays cool. Please bring a light jacket.
Nature Conservation: Please stay on the trails and do not take any plants or stones to protect the ecosystem.
Weather: For safety, the tour may be canceled in case of heavy rain or snow.
